Sponge cake is very simple to make.
- Weigh how many eggs you are using
- Weigh out the same amount of self-raising flour
- Weigh out the same amount of caster sugar
- Weight out the same amount of margarine
Cream the sugar and margarine together.
Beat the egg in.
Sieve the flour in. Give it a good mix.
Put in a cake tin and cook until brown and when you’re able to stick a knife into the centre of it without any of if sticking to it.
