Sponge Cake

Sponge cake is very simple to make.

  1. Weigh how many eggs you are using
  2. Weigh out the same amount of self-raising flour
  3. Weigh out the same amount of caster sugar
  4. Weight out the same amount of margarine

Cream the sugar and margarine together.

Beat the egg in.

Sieve the flour in. Give it a good mix.

Put in a cake tin and cook until brown and when you’re able to stick a knife into the centre of it without any of if sticking to it.
